A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to send back on each visit. Browser storage is different: information is held on your device and read by the site while you are using it, rather than sent with every request. ScentStop relies mostly on browser storage.

• Sign-in. When you sign in, your session is held by your browser so you stay signed in between visits until you sign out or it expires.
• Security. Short-lived values used during sign-in and account confirmation to make sure a request came from you.
• Remembered preferences. Small ScentStop-scoped values such as the email address and sign-in method you last used, and, for partners, the organisation you were last viewing. These are conveniences only and never decide what you are allowed to see.

We do not store passwords or payment details in your browser, and remembered preferences carry no permission of any kind.

The pre-launch site does not run analytics, advertising or third-party tracking technology. Everything described above is necessary to sign you in, keep the site secure and remember choices you have made, which is why you are not being asked for consent to it.

If we introduce optional analytics or marketing technology later, we will update this notice and put a consent choice in place before it is switched on.

You can clear cookies and site data for scentstop.co.uk in your browser settings at any time. Doing so will sign you out and clear remembered preferences. Blocking this storage entirely will stop sign-in from working.
